Galen Getz
Mr. Galen Getz began working at with Claraty Arts in 2022, and since he has joined he has been creating art at every opportunity. This is nothing new, as Getz has been working with various kinds of media since he was young. Along with his skills with using traditional media, Getz also has created art with computer programs like Photoshop, and film design programs. More recently at Claraty Arts, Getz has been working with sculpture a lot, he is motivated to work with physical materials, like clay, and assemblage sculpture. Many of his artworks are inspired by family, friends, and places that he has visited in the world. While Getz oftentimes finds joy in depicting beautiful subject matter, he also likes to shock his audience by creating things that are funny, scary, gross, weird, or unusual. Getz believes in the healing power of art, and says that, “laughing is the best medicine.”
